Apple Cider Vinegar. What is it!?

July 16, 2018

Apple Cider vinegar is said to bring multiple health benefits when consumed.

For centuries apple cider vinegar has been used for many purposes. The vinegar is used to help with weight loss, lower blood sugar, decrease insulin levels, improve metabolism, decrease stored fat and suppress appetite.

Apple Cider vinegar is a low calorie, no carb drink. 15ml is 3 calories. The ingredients are very healthy as well. Apples, yeast, and bacteria are what make up the drink. Apple cider vinegar is made in a two-step fermentation process. Acetic acid is the main active component.

Acetic acid is where you will get much of the health benefits from. Acetic acid is a short-chain fatty acid which dissolves into acetate and hydrogen in the body.

The apple cider vinegar is also said to reduce inflammation, and reduce the pain for arthritis. Many studies in humans show that vinegar can improve insulin function and lower blood sugar levels after meals.

A study with 175 people who have obesity showed that daily apple cider vinegar consumption led to reduced belly fat and weight loss.

15 mL (1 tablespoon): Lost 2.6 pounds, or 1.2 kilograms.

30 mL (2 tablespoons): Lost 3.7 pounds, or 1.7 kilograms.

Try to remember that this study went on for 3 months, so the true effects on body weight seem less than stellar.

It does happen but adding or subtracting single foods or ingredients rarely has a noticeable effect on weight.

Apple cider vinegar comes with multiple benefits. However, to receive the number a great benefits you must stay committed to having the 1-2tbls each day. When you are taking the Apple cider vinegar over a period of time it will increase the chances of seeing incredible benefits.

Always remember commitment matters. When you commit your committing to receive all the benefits that relate to your body.

Stay fit and healthy.
